Via NY Gov Cuomo: Tell the Legislature: Pass the full Women’s Agenda by June 19!

New York State has made historic progress for women this year — expanding reproductive rights, increasing access to IVF, and more — but there is still work to do.

With only 11 days left in this year’s legislative session, the Legislature must act quickly.

Today I’m launching the Women’s Justice Agenda: The Time Is Now campaign to urge the Legislature to pass our remaining priorities by the end of the session.

Add your name and tell the Legislature to act on these critical issues for New York’s women!

Petition

There are four pieces of the Women’s Agenda we must enact:

  1. Pass the Equal Rights Amendment
  2. Increase Protections Against Harassment in the Workplace
  3. Eliminate the Statute of Limitations for 2nd and 3rd Degree Rape
  4. Bolster New York’s Pay Equity Laws

These reforms are crucial. They will bring justice to survivors of assault, protect women from harassment, and help us close the gender pay gap so that women finally receive equal pay for equal work.

Sign the petition!

No state has done more than New York to protect and advance the rights of women and girls, but we need to finish the job.

Ever Upward,

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo
